{"id":7804,"date":"2024-06-25T10:16:09","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T14:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hippocrate.ca\/urgences-sante\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T00:46:06","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T04:46:06","slug":"collaboration-and-mutual-support-at-the-heart-of-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hippocrate.ca\/en\/collaboration-and-mutual-support-at-the-heart-of-operations\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaboration and mutual support at the heart of operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Members of Urgences-sant\u00e9 were honored to win the Hippocrates Award in the Jean-Paul Marsan Award category, the highest distinction of this important evening for the healthcare network.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since receiving this prestigious award, the Operations Management Center (OMC)<\/strong> has continued its collaborative and interdisciplinary efforts, always with the primary goal of diligently fulfilling its mission.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #cba273;\"><em><strong><br \/>\nThe OMC is the nerve center for coordination<br \/>\nand monitoring of prehospital operations.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #cba273;\"><em><strong>With this in mind, and to better manage frontline operations,<br \/>\na major modernization initiative has been launched.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nAfter five years, Urgences-sant\u00e9\u2019s Operations Management Center, drawing on its experience, is modernizing its corporate alert system<\/strong> and its Service Supply Regulation Plan to ensure an appropriate response to the public when demand for pre-hospital services exceeds the organization\u2019s capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few months, a comprehensive update has been undertaken to adjust certain indicators so that they better reflect the reality faced by paramedics, emergency medical dispatchers, the metropolitan context, and the constantly evolving pre-hospital services landscape.<\/p>\n<p>A broad consultation with several internal stakeholders yielded numerous suggestions for improvement, and a first revised version took effect on Monday, June 17, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>These changes will optimize the flow of operations between the various services involved in operational activities and improve protective measures in risk management.<\/p>\n<p>The CGO carries out distinctive activities using its various IT tools, which support both routine operations and emergency response deployments.
